How do I stop myself from turning into a fat, gelatinous, BLOB?!

Question: I have successfully quit smoking , but now I eat like a BEAR!!!
Tried to slow down, but I just get hungrier.AND, I work in a kitchen so there's always food. Also I should mention, I try to ride a bicycle to work about 1or2 miles a couple times a week, and also I do leg-lifts lying on the floor, about 50 a night.

at least you quit smoking. stop dwelling on your weight gain. just watch what you eat. small portions several times a day speed up your metabolism.

stay away from all the sugar and caffeine-chocolate included. :)

keep riding the petal bike and do your leg lifts-it will eventually work out.

seems like you are replacing the ciggs with food. just try and practice self control. it's hard i know.

My sister quit smoking and gained some weight. She says it is because the nicotine speeds your metabolism up.

The good news is that she is now loosing weight a year later. She is thinner now than before she quit smoking. She did it by cutting down on her portions. She still eats cake and such whenever she wants (which is moderately frequently) but in smaller portions.

She doesn't exercise.

I'd walk. To be honest, you'll walk farther than you'll run (which most people stop after like 10 minutes), and because you're heart rate will be low, you'll be burning fat. I'd work your way up to like 3-4 miles at least (1 hour or so), several times a week, as well as do some weight training. The nice thing about walking is that it's free and easy to do. I keep myself in pretty decent shape by just doing 2-15 minute walks a day during my breaks at work. As each walk is about 1-mile, that's 10 miles a week easily done! If I go by myself, I listen to music or a podcast. Anywho, good luck and congrats with stopping smoking!!

you can eat all you want, the key is to burn all that intake, before it turns into semi-permanent fat. Take a job evory morning, or eat healthy food to lower calorie intake. (to stay slim you have to burn the calories you have taken).
try going to work every day with your bike, youll become like one of those professionals. use your stored energy instead of taking oil from mother earth...
