I think that your previous posters are off in their calculations. Here is why I think that:
1) In feet, which is what I work best in, you are about 5 feet 2 and 1/2 inches. Why this matters is as a general guideline, you should allow 100lbs for the first 5 feet of height and then 5 pounds for each inch over that if you are female and 6 pounds for each inch if you are a guy. So that would allow you to be approx. 112.5 pounds. So we know, before we start that you are a good weight.

2) A couple of your posters have your BMI in the upper 20's. A BMI of 27.5-30 is considered 'mild obesity'. There is no way you are even approaching that so

3) To find your BMI this is how you do it:

BMI equals weight in kilograms divided by height in
meters squared

SO.........

your weight in kilograms is 115pounds divided by 2.2pounds (conversion factor) which gives you 52.27 kg

your height in meters is 1.59. 1.59 squared is 2.528 meters

NOW.......52.27kg divided by 2.528 meters equals 20.7 BMI

I don't know how old you are but a BMI of 19-25 is the appropriate weight for someone who is between the ages of 19 and 34. If you are older, BMI rises slightly.

This fits with the first guideline that I gave to you. So you sound PERFECT!!

BMI 28.48
