Help w/ serving size of Ice Cream?!

Question: If 1/2 a cup is a serving, obviously 1/4 cup is half of a serving. If I had 1/3 of a cup, would that be 2/3 of a serving or 1/3 of a serving?

Reason I'm asking is I usually have 1/2 a cup but for Weight Watchers, the ice cream I bought is more points than I usually "spend" on ice cream. I only had 1/3 cup instead of 1/2 a cup b/c I wanted a bit more than 1/4 cup.

Sorry if this sounds confusing. I'm just trying to figure out how to count it. 1/2 cup is 4 points so 1/4 cup would be 2 points. Would you count 1/3 of a cup as 2.5 points or 3?

In order to do the math you have to reduce the numbers to 1/12ths. That is a number that both 2 and 3 divide into evenly.
you are very consciencious to be worried about half a point but it is the right thing to do. Go Girl!

If it causes you this much trauma just stop eating ice cream. It is not going to help you reach your goal, so why eat it?

it would be double over 1/6 which is 1/4 of of 1/2 which is four there fore 1/3 is 3 points y doesit matter if its 2.5 or 3 though???

omg...it would be SO much eaisier to just stop eating ice cream althogether. I'd go with three to be on the safe side though.

Ms.TL.....eat ice cream only on your cheat day....maybe Sunday.Only ONE scoop, no more. That's as much as an ice cream scoop will hold.....don't worry about the measuring.
Same goes with things like pizza. You could probably eat a whole medium, I know I could....but I only get one slice...I do eat one FAT cheeseburger on Sunday.....my workouts are so intense I don't worry about one cheeseburger a week and I need some fat now and then.
