What is a reasonable/safe amount of weight to lose in one week?!

Question: Do you think losing between 0.8-0.9 lbs a day is safe? That totals between 5.6-6.3 lbs a week.

When I did weight watchers they said 0.5- 2 pounds a week. in the first few weeks I lost a lot more then that. 9.8 in week 1,5.4 in week 2, 5 in week three, as I kept going it even out to about 1-3 pounds a week

yes it is.

0.5 lbs/day

otherwise you're just losing water

NO. You should not lose more than 1 or 2 pounds in a week.

i would say 2 to 3 pounds per week and that way it will stay off.

No. I believe 1 pound per week (in any case less than 2 pounds) is safe. Anything more than that is NOT ok, and will not stay off.
I have lost even 10 per week with the Master Cleanser diet, but i can tell you it all came right back and I don't think I'm any healthier.

The safe amount of weight to lose in a week is about 2 lbs. a week.

It depends on your initial weight and initial BMI. If you are overweight, you can lose 1-2 pounds a week pretty safely with caloric reduction and a proper exercise routine.

Muscle weighs more than fat, and water weight can be lost and gained back quickly, so throw THAT into your thinking process. ;)

I could be 200lbs. and totally buff, or I could be a muscle-less, fat, chip eating, couch potato, so weight is irrelevant.

How your body is toned is more important. Don't get a complex, but 3-5 lbs...sure!

2lbs max

yeh
