Thank you for your nutrition question. It's not a good idea to skip lunch because it actually slows down your metabolism(rate which you burn calories). There are alot of inexpensive types of foods which you can buy that you can bring along with you for lunch. These include mixed nuts, fruit cups, applesauce, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, and go-gurt(yogurt). All of these are healthy, convenient, and not very expensive to purchase. Hope this helps.

If you are getting tired, hungry, weak....you probably should have had lunch. Listen to your body...it will usually ask for what it needs. Are you substituting something less healthy for lunch? Not a good idea either.

It's considered better not to skip any of your meals, to spread your calorie intake throughout the day. Now why are you skipping lunch is the real question? No time? You can always take a healthy sandwich to your job. . . or something else and be done in a couple of minutes. Are you trying to lose weight? Then skipping lunch is not that good.

Dietary guidelines recommend eating little and often to ensure a steady supply of glucose to your body's cells.

Hypoglycaemia can result from skipped meals, which can cause fainting, and dizziness. Also, you increase your risk of developing diabetes because your pancreas gets rises and falls in blood sugar to deal with using insulin and glucagon. If you don't get any symptoms and do not want to eat then maybe see the doc to discuss why you have no appetite?

its not horrible but what some people do is they skip one meal and over eat the next.....although your body does need a certain amount of protien, carbs, etc throughout the day
