What is a good amount of push ups and sit ups to do?!

Question: So far, I'm only doing 2 reps of 20 for push ups and 4 reps of 20 for sit ups ( I know it's pathetic but I just started lol)....but what should be the goal?

That sounds a bit much for just starting out. If you are dealing with it ok, I wouldn't increase it for at least two months, even then just increase gradually.

If that is what it takes for you to reach exhaustion, then that is the right number to do for you right now. Don't beat yourself up if you can't do as many as you like, and recognize that when you do this, you are tearing your body down, and you need to give it time to heal. Be sure to spread it out (leg lifts as well as sit-ups for upper and lower abs, and turns for obliques, as well as hands together/hands apart to work different muscles in push-ups).

Your 'goal' should be when you feel you have reached your strength/weight goal, and what that is depends on you- we don't know nearly enough to give suggestions there!

Good luck- sounds like you are doing great!

i would stop doing pushups. think about it-basically, what are your breasts made of, fat. If you continue to do pushups you will shrink your girls! Do as many situps as humanly possible.

Just do as many as you possibly can.

it is not about how many you do.. but how hard you work.. if you do thousand in the wrong way you are actually just getting tired without strengthening you abds!

Why bulk up for, you just need to tone only to maintain healthy tissue.
Think wisely about Exercise, and not over doing it either.

sorry no can do due to weak arm not been the same since i injuried it

I believe it is the number you can manage with out leaving yourself exhausted.

You have to start off slow and build up your muscles. Your on the right track. Keep up the good work.
