By running 4 miles a day, will i lose weight?!

Question: As long as you are eating right, in addition to running then yes you should lose some of your body's fat content. If you are really running hard those 4 miles then you should gain muscle weight as well, so if you see yourself gaining weight, don't flip! Its just your muscle weight!! Good luck! I hope your running goes well!

Best of Luck!
Carly

ps- I recommend listening to music while running, it totally makes those 4 miles go by faster!!

If you are also eating right, oh yea you will lose weight. But dont think you can eat whatever you want just cuz you run 4 miles..gotta have both to make it work

IF your in a calorie deficient yes you wouldn't even need to run to lose fat though.. If you can run 4 miles though you might have the stamina for a good HIIT routine, which is far more efficient at using stored fat and also more time efficient and less catabolic.

Thats quiet a bit to run!
Depending on whether your eating healthy or not, the amount of weight you will lose will vary.
The scales might say you GAIN, dont freak out! (I've done this too much) its muscle gain! Doesnt mean your growing bigger, it just means that instead of having "fat" you will be getting "muscle".
But how many calories you are eating a day and what type of body you have depends on how much weight you lose.

Happy running

=)

First of all...congrats on being active! Running can be very therapeutic, done on your own OR with good company. I've heard many people say that running is the quickest form of weight loss for them! It's so good for your heart and can build a little strength in those legs. Make sure you are taking days off for rest. Your muscles need time to recover from their workouts. Also it's a good idea to switch things up a bit. Just doing one form of exercise can lead to overuse injuries, and can also leave you strong in some parts of your body and weak in others. Make sure you are fuelling your body well. That means eating balanced meals. It's hard for your body to perform when it's not got the right fuel in the tank!
