For how long? You'll probably have to do more than run up and down stairs to lose 75 pounds. It really depends how soon you want to lose that weight. Over the course of several months or years, yes, you'll lose weight.
An excersize like that is probably most similar to a stair-climber or elliptical machine, so look up how many calories an hour workout for someone your weight will burn in doing that activity.
Combine that with a healthy diet low in fat, cut out sodas and do some walking and I think you might be doing ok.

Just don't fall down the stairs!!!!
