Creatine.............?!

Question: Has anyone ever taken creatine? A lot of my friends who play sports have started taking it and I am concerned about them. The FDA hasn't approved this "performance inhancer" and the side effects are unknown. What do you think? What were your side effects if you have/do take it? Thanks for all of your help!

Hi There, not sure where your from? but here in Australia it has been around for a very long time and I would also assume in the U.S as well if thats where your from as most creatine brands sold here come from there.

Personally being a trainer I see alot of supplements out there and even test a few to see if theres any actual benefit for clients, Creatine depending on its form (monohydrate) or pure has thousands of reviews online from general people to body builders, basically it gives you an increase in strength and speedier recovery from workouts and is supposed to be a great muscles builder.

Personally for me the main side effect was nausea, I felt ill soon after taking it and had to wait for anywhere up to an hour before i did anything too physical because of the dizzyness. Other then that nothing else.

My other trainer mates that have taken it have had little if any side effect, each body does react differently and considering australia is very strict on sports medicine thats sold over the counter this one has not been banned so i cant say its too harmful.

If they are athletes tho then they do have to look into if it does cross any drug rules as there are many over the counter supplements that breach them.

it's plenty safe, creatine is produced naturally in the body, it's just stupid, like getting muscle implants, stuff looks bigger, but isn't really any stronger.

creatine can never be banned from sports, they would have to outlaw steak and fish, and stop your body from making it naturally

Forget suppliments. Half of the creatine you need the body creates itself. The other half is obtained from eating meat. Since eating meat instead of refined carbohydrates (bread, pasta, sweets, etc.) is better for you, get your creatine free with meat.
