Low carb pasta question?!

Question: I asked a question earlier about a replacement for pastas, the white ones, to find a lower carb alternative. I am not on a diet, I am perfectly fit, I do not intend to diet. I just want to still be able to eat spagetti without the white pasta carbs.
Sadly, I got all kinds of stupid answers by folks who did not read the question.

I have found the whole wheat pastas to be just as good if not better in taste and much better in texture. An additional benefit is that I don't find myself starving in an hour as I did with white flour pastas.

My mother is a celiac and can eat no wheat. She has had corn as well as rice "pastas" but says there is no comparison to the real thing. They are starchy, sticky and loose any positive qualities the minute they enter boiling water.

If you want to stick strictly low carb, Shirataki Noodles are for you. You will find them in Asian markets or possibly in the Asian food section of your local supermarket. They are plant based, mostly fiber and rumors of lowering cholesterol and blood sugars are certain to make them the next big thing.

Get the whole wheat pasta. The only problem is that it doesn't taste that great so you better have a good sauce. Also, it takes longer to cook.

There are commercially made whole wheat pastas available in the supermarket. But I think they all taste horrible and my kids won't eat them. So I don't think they are generally worth it. The ones that you buy cold in the refreigerated section are the best. But they don't say 100% whole wheat and I don't think they really are low carb.

white carbs are bad because they are refined. Go for whole meal pasta instead its much better. You dont need to go for low carbs if your eating the right sort

I'm on Weight Watchers. Went on it to lose weight, but realized quickly that it's a lifetime commitment to healthier eating.

Part of this plan is to eat whole foods at all times. Skip all the over-processed crap which puts empty calories in your body with no real nurishment.

Whole wheat pasta (and read the label -- the first ingredient should be WHOLE WHEAT) is one thing you can. It has more fiber, which is healthier for you.

Smart move on your part. Eating healthy isn't really very hard, and can be delicious too!
