Its easy to loose 12 pounds in a month. The dummies who say 1-2 lbs a week are just brainwashed.

If you cut your diet by around 1000 calories a day and do 30 mins excercise - even fast walking, you will loose 12 lbs very fast.

Its easy to count calories just look at what your eating for 3 meals, have an apple or orange between meals. Drink lots of water 4 x 32 ounces.

It will fall off.

Not healthy to lose 12 lbs in one month. The conventional wisdom is that 1, but no more than 2, lbs per week is the healthy standard. Otherwise, you are starving your body and the likelihood of return weight is high.

well you could probably cut off a limb.....that would certainly do it.....otherwise the only way i can think of would be to lose water weight....esentially dehydrate yourself. permanent weight loss will take a weebit longer and consists of exercise and small portions of healthy, natural foods.........sorry i don't have a quick fix for you, but good luck to you. by the way.....make sure you're including strength training in your exercises.....once your muscles start to grow/develop, they can actually help burn more fat/calories for you even when you're not working out.

Easy, just run a mile or more every day. Also, its not unhealthy to lose 12 pounds in a month, it happens all the time!

Run, jog, swim, one of those! Do it every day, and it'll be so easy to lose 12 pounds (you'll end up losing more if you have more to lose).

As a trainer I don't usually recommend that my clients lose any more then 1-2lbs a week but....if you wanted to lose 12lbs in a month you's have to lose 3lbs a week which is not horribly out of range. limit your calories to about 1200 a day but no lower....do some additional cardio every single day for about 45-60 minutes.....and lay off the starches such as pototoes, white bread, corn, peas, etc.. Eat a salad for supper with a lean meat such as fish, or chicken. Good luch hun!

Okay, I will admit it is not usually healthy to lose 12 lbs. in one month, but if you are just trying to get a good jumpstart on a healthy lifestyle, there are ways that will help that are not dangerous. First, DON'T STARVE YOURSELF! That is the most unhealthy and temporary way known.

First, eat a good , balanced breakfast. That means with Protein, some carbs but not many, and fiber. It may be helpful to take a fiber drink or eat a very high fiber cereal (like all-bran). Also, make sure all your breads are whole grain, there are some really good varieties out there now.
Breakfast jump starts your metabolism for the day so that your everyday activities burn more pounds.
Second, skip no meals. This will only incrase your hunger before the next meal setting you up to overeat. If you don't feel like eaating , then drink something like a slimfast shake.
Don't skip dinner either. You may want to eat by 7 PM, and if you can't control your calorie intake well, try a TV Dinner such as lean cuisine, healthy choice. or weight watchers.
DRINK LOTS OF WATER. No, this will not make you gain water weight , it will help keep your system flushed and help you not feel hunger. Along with the extra fiber, it will help rid your system of extra waste.
AND most importantly, increase your activity. a brisk walk for 30-45 a day will work wonders. It has been proven not only to help burn calaories, but to help reduce belly fat. Continue this regime after you have lost the first 12 lbs, and you wil continue to lose weight. You do not want to consistantly stay on a diet that is 1000 calories or less, your body will decrerase it's metabolism. After the first month go to an average of 1200 calories a day. Average your calories over a 3 day period, then you can allow for days such as special dinners or get togethers. (For example, 3 day allowance is 3600 calories, but tomorrow you want to be aable to splurge, eat 9000 calories today, 1800 calories tomorrow, and back to 9000 calories the third day for an average of 3600 calories in 3 days. Many people find this helps hem to enjoy special occasions better without the feelings of guilt or hurting their dies.
Try to fnd ways to increase the calories you burn in everyday acivities, take the stairs more often, park farther away from the door, put on some light ankle weights while you walk or do your housework. Make sure that "lots of walking" is a constant walk for 30-60 minutes, not the kind of stop and go we do on our jobs or in our housework.

Keep a good attitude. If you have a day or two that you overeat or miss your exercise, don't assume every;thing blown, but just continue your regime as if nothing ever happened. If you are in an area where the cold weather wil keep you from walking, the try to join a gym until the weather breraks.
GOOD LUCK!!!!!
GOOD LUCK!
