When losing weight should i just do cardiovascular excersise at first?!

Question: Im dieting but havent been losing much weight! Im doing weights 3 times a week and swimming twice a week and playing squash once and football once! I wasnt losing many lbs!! Now ive established that fat doesnt turn into muscle, it just builds the muscle under the fat(wondered why my manboobs were sticking out more)!! Am i better off(or will i see just the same results) doing the cardio first and know how mucg fat im losin then when i get to a reasonable weight carry on with the cardio and bring the weights in to tone up a bit!! I dont want any excess flab but want to see the lbs dropping off the scales each week!!

You didn't mention anything about diet.

Dude, diet is key. You can do all the training etc., but if your calorie intake is high and or you are eating too much "fat", you'll never lose the weight.

Here are some basic guidelines:

1. Work out with weights 3 times per week MAX - alternate days. Do each excersize with lower weights and higher reps. Do at least 4 sets per exercise.

2. Cardio - running / swimming / walking up hill (treadmill) are best. Do this on the days you do not LIFT.

3. Diet: eat smal meals at least 6 times per day. Increase your proteins by eating veal, chicken breast, tuna, egg whites.
You should consume at least 1 gram of protein for each pound you weigh. Example: if you weigh 170 you need min. 170 gr of protein. Note that a can of Tuna has 25 grams. There are sites which can tell you average grams for food items . Drink low fat milk, stay away from all the junk food, etc. Pasta and rice are good at lunch (carbs)...avoid these after 4 pm.

eh ur going to have to be patient with that, i suggest cardio after weight training, when lifting always make sure your form is perfect. Dont worry about the weight, if u cut off too many calories off your diet you will suffer from extra skin problem, ur going to look gross. I suggest high protein diet around 150-200grams, cut out the bad carbs and junk food like soda, chips and all the fatty foods and start eating lean foods. If u diet to much u will only loose lean mass which makes u look toned and not flabby, balance is the key remember that, never exagerate. your body wont change in a heartbeat u have to give it time. Keep lifting and do cardio for about 30mins every day and eat moderate around 2000cals a day or 2200 healthy calories though. That should make u transform into a badass in 1 year or atleast look good, as for the manboobs well they will go away with pushups do 100 daily
