Hi,

If you mean whole food when you write "natural food versus processed food"; yes, natural food is better for you.

Once food is processed, it goes through many chemical changes. Additives, preservatives and flavorings - all manmade chemicals - are put into the food. Once it's processed, it can hardly be called food anymore. It's more like a mass of chemicals.

As a result, all the nutrients are processed right out of the food and you've got an increased risk for digestive problems because your body has a hard time processing all those toxins from the additives.

Plus, you're at a higher risk for obesity because processed foods leave you hungry; causing you to eat more, causing you to gain weight.

"Natural", unprocessed, whole foods like fruits and vegetables have lots of nutrients that fill you up naturally. If you choose organic, even better because your body is able to easily digest the food.

If you want to know more, I wrote an article at http://www.organic-home-online.com/benef... . There's more resources available there that may help you.

Good luck with your project!

because natural (raw uncooked food) has enzymes, amino acids, and a higher vitamin content than cooked/ processed food, also many aditives (often synthetic substances made in a lab) are used as preservatives/ sweetners our bodies have never had to deal with these substances before. even most fruit juices in shops are from concentrate and homgenised (that is you take the pulp and add water so you have a weaker juice and homgenised is heating it to kill buggs- good and bad!)
enzymes are also de-natured in the homgenising process.

There is no true evidence of natural food being better than other foods. In fact natural foods are not protected from any bacteria or diseases and has more potential of being harmful to people and animals. People that make claims that natural or organic foods are better are either trying to sell their product or are misinformed.
