Yes. Try to stay away from junk and fast food too, that will speed up the process. You are also right, water does help fill your stomach up and makes you feel bloated. Do some exercise too.

you would start losing weight in a week or two, b/c ur body will just start peeing it out at first. but once ur body accepts the extra liquid, you will not only be healthier, but also lose weight. it will also help cause you'll feel more full and not have to eat so much food at mealtimes. but 150 is alot of water. "they" say to drink half ur body weight in ounces...and i'm sure u don't weight 300lbs! good luck!

Drinking water is good but beware of water retention. And just drinking water wont help you lose weight, you have to eat better too

u could do that and drink some hurble laxative tea at night.smooth moves i think thats the name

Your body may hold the water causing a higher scale reading which is totally different than actual weight loss... don't get discouraged... sodas are terrible including diet sodas... you will be great... btw, why was the blonde snorting Splenda ? because she thought it was Diet Coke... lol.

It all depends. If you drink that much water but still overeat, you're not gonna lose anything. But chances are drinking that much will keep you full so you won't have to worry about overeating. But do watch your sodium intake, cuz it is possible that you can still retain water and then it'll appear on the scale that you've gained. I hate water weight. It's sooo annoying! But congrats to you on kicking the soda. That stuff is nothing but bad for you! *sends you good karma*

yep but a little bit

If you drink regular sodas, yes you will lose weight because you're replacing all that sugar with zero calories. Also, drinking water flushes out impurities in your system, causes you to feel full and is just good for you know matter what.

I quit drinking sodas 3 years ago and i can't stand them now. I drink at least 120 oz of h20 daily and splurge on a diet green tea for variety. My 13 yr old son gave up sodas 4 months ago and quit eating "junk", he has lost 10 pounds and grown 2 inches....I really think it's the sodas that have made the difference!

He says he feels better too.

all you will do drinking that much water is pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee pee and dont forget pee pee pee pee pee. tttthhhhaaattttsss aaalllooottt ooofffff wwwwaaaattteeeerrrrrr. it will help if you have the water running in the bathroom. it always inspires me!!!! hope i helped!!!

You don't include your height and weight, and that is a big factor in the answer to this question. Generally, the guideline for drinking water is to drink at least half your body weight in ounces of water each day. That means that if you weigh 120 pounds, you would want to aim for drinking around 60 ounces - or 3 20oz bottles - of purified water each day.
Since I don't know your height and weight, it is hard to tell how much water is too much, but a person can actually drink too much water, too. There have been documented cases of people who died from drinking too much water. So you need to find a balance.
Have you considered drinking green tea? There are plenty of antioxidants and some fat burning properties to green tea.
Here is another alternative. If you are drinking to allay hunger, try orange juice. It's one of the best hunger stoppers on the planet. Even better than cold orange juice, for allaying appetite or a sweet tooth - is to heat a mug of orange juice with a mass of cinnamon in the microwave and drink it hot. It's yummy, nutritious, stops appetite cravings and satisfies the sweet tooth!
Hope this helps!

Someone told me that they asked their endocrinologist (blood doctor) about the whole drinking lots of water thing. His doctor said it was a load of bs. He said just drink when you are thirsty.
I'm not positive on whether this is really true, but i can tell you that it hasn't helped me.

Drinking water can help quell hunger, but drinking too much can be bad for you. Shoot for about half your body weight in pounds, in ounces of water per day, avoid caffeine, and watch your diet. I know you are looking for a quick fix, but too much water can flush your system of some vitamins and minerals you want and end up taking a toll on your body. Diet exercise is always the only good answer, the weight will come off in a much better way for you.
