I need weight loss advice?!

Question: When I was 15 I moved in with my mother after being without her for 10 years. Before that I was living with my father, while I was living there I didn't eat very much because my father didn't have much food in the house ever. I only ate when I was at my friends house, school, or visiting my mother. While I was living with my father I was a size 3 and as soon as I moved in with my mother I started eating more and gained weight pretty quick. I moved in with my mother around October 20th and I went from a size 3 to a size 7 before Christmas. I quickly became into a size 13 which I was ok with but started to miss my size 7 so I went on a diet. I got down to a size 9 but got depressed and went back up to a size 13, now 2 years after that I am a size 18/20. I can't seem to keep my weight off. I think it has to do with my depression but my husband tells me it has nothing to do with that! I just need some advice as to some weight loss...how can I keep it off?

I strongly suggest weight watchers. I am a size 13 right now, but I have always been really small, so I am uncomfortable in my body now. I love weight watchers because it shows you how to eat the foods you lik in a way that is healthy, If you can't join at the moment, then at least get the weight watchers magazine, there are hundreds of helpfull tips in it. I also Just joined a kick boxing class, to try and stay in shape a little, I'm eager to watch the weight fall off, But I know where you're coming from.

The main thing you have to do is to find a diet that you can stick to and get into some type of workout program that you will enjoy. A workout program will also help with your depression. Check out http://www.geocities.com/tymes90 there are a list of diets there that have been proven to work. All you have to do is find one you know you can stick to. Also there is a link on that site called "over 100,000 workouts" I would suggest you check it out.
Good Luck and God Bless

Well, all I can tell you is that the only way to lose weight is by eating a lot less. And avoing carbohydrates as much as possible.
Don't bother buying weight loss pills or patches or anything like that. They do not work at all. You will be wasting your money and probably putting your health at risk.
Make sure you have good healthy meals but do not eat anything between them.
It is really worthy to make the effort to lose weight. It will not only improve your appearance but it will also boost your confidence and self-steem and give you more energy and better health.
Good luck!!!

Your husband is wrong. It will be very difficult for you to lose weight and keep it off if you are battling depression. If you work on the depression, you will probably find that you want to work out and change your eating habits. I know this from personal experience. I was depressed for a good part of my life and after I moved away from my parents house, I got over my depression and lost 40 pounds.
In order to keep any weight off, you have to gradually change your eating habits and exercise routine. First, make sure you eat a healthy breakfast. Egg white omlette, whole grain toast, some fruit is a good one if you have time. When I'm pressed for time, I have a peanut butter and honey on whole grain bread sandwich. You need to switch to healthy snacks like fruit and a handful of whatever nuts you enjoy or a small piece of cheese. Try to stay away from refined carbohydrates like white bread, white rice, sugar. I have switched to whole wheat bread. Just make sure you read the label on whichever bread you buy and check the amount of sugar per serving. There's alot of stuff out there saying it is made from whole grains, but they add high fructose corn syrup into it. Try to stick to lean cuts of meat, trade out ground beef to ground turkey in recipes for chili, spaghetti sauce, etc. You really can't tell a difference when using ground turkey.
You also need to start exercising 3 to 5 times a week. You can start by just walking around your neighborhood at a brisk pace for 30 minutes. Get a partner if this will help. This can help you exercise even when you really don't want to . If you can afford a gym membership, you might want to book a personal trainer for a few sessions to learn about different ways to exercise to lose your weight and tone your problem areas.
You still need to work on any depression you may suffer from. It is very hard to stick to a diet and exercise routine when you're depressed.

Start looking at what you eat and see how many snacks you eat that you're willing to give up; then see what carbohydrates you can cut down. Start drinking more water eating more vegetables slow down on carbonated drinks go for walks see if your husband will exercise with you and before you know it you will start seeing a difference but start slow and know your limit when exercising. Most people when looking to lose weight try to do too much at once and that's not good and please don't beat yourself up because you don't see a difference right away.

Exercise everyday like jogging around the block
Skip meals. Eat 2 times per day than 3 times per day
Dont eat until you're full
Eat fruits at night if your hungry.
Drinks lots of water and stop all the fast food and chocolate.
