Does fasting make you gain weight?!

yes! Any kind of fasting forces your body to go into survival mode, so the next time you eat your body will save it as fat. If you're worrying about gaining weight, don't eat 4 hours before going to bed. When you sleep you're not burning calories, therefore gain weight. Do not think eating twice a day, but in large portions, will let you lose weight. It'll do the exact opposite. If anything eat 6 small meals throughout the day to speed up your metabolism.

Yes. Anytime you stop eating for long periods of time, you put your body into starvation mode. I tried this thinking I would lose weight and I gained weight. Big mistake! Eat small meals throughout the day, lots of water, and exercise (that's if your trying to lose weight) Have a good one.

I dont think it would make you gain weight, but I don't think that's very healthy. It's better to eat 3 meals.

yeah it probally would. If you fast your body it will use any chance it has to put on weight. If you are planning to go on a diet then that is the wrong thing to do to lose weight. You would actually keep your fat even if you exercise.

lol,maybe scientists and all say that it DOES make you gain weight,but my whole family does it for a month and erm no,we don't seem to gain nor lose weight...As long as in those 2 meals you don't exceed 1700calories,there's nothing to worry about...

yes and fasting is a dumb idea and kindof sounds like an alternative way around anorexia to me, especially if u fast for a few days...
