If your percentile is at 56, would it make sense for you fat percentage to be 25!

Question: Does that sound about right? If I bring my percentile down to 33% (10 more pounds) will my fat percentage go down?

What is the at the 56th percentile? Your weight?

I know an average body fat percentage for a female is around 25%, so it would make sense if you your at the 56th percentile for your weight/height.

If you lost 10lb, it would depend on how much of the weight loss was fat and how much was muscle as to whether your body fat percentage would go down or not.

I am a baby boomer (that means born after the 2nd world war and before 1960). The British National Health Service set a lot of store by all these charts and things, and they still do. They can be a good guide. But they are not written in stone.
Neither my paternal or maternal grandparents were over 5ft. tall
My mother is 5'3 and my father 5'9. I was born average weight of 7lb 2oz. Yet by the time I was five yrs old I was only the size and weight of an eighteen month old baby. But I was completely healthy. I am now 5'2, I have four sons all over 6ft.
When you see these charts you must also take into account your parents, weight and height at similar ages (and the charts do not). You could go ahead and try to lose 10 pounds, but this may not be normal for you, and you could end up loosing muscle instead.
No two children will develop at the same rate. BMI is only a guide.
