110 is NOT a healthy weight for someone who is 5'7! aim to get to around 125, that would be a healthy weight for that height. and to loose the weight just completely cut out junk food, i know it sounds IMPOSSIBLE but its soo good! i did it and i felt AMAZING it makes you so energized and uplifts your aura too! and graze (eat about 6-8 small, and very healthy meals per day) and you have to make sure to get all your vitamins and minerals to stay healthy. i dont eat meat but if you do then stick with grilled chicken because alot of other meats are very high in fat. and exercise. not accesivle like all the time but just be active, go jogging like 3 times a week, while watching tv do leg lifts and things like that.

hey, 5'7 and 134 is pretty well in the normal range. Maybe you need to just work out a little more. Maybe you should concentrate on eating more healthy, drink lots of water and exercise. There is no way a fat Dr. would put you on anything to loose weight.

Don't. There is no healthy way to loose that much weight quickly. The best way to loose weight is the only way that works: Diet and exercise. I know that sounds stupid, but just listen.

Find a sport that you *really* like, and then do it. You shouldn't lose 24 pounds in less time than 6 months. A pound a week is a good rate, and it won't hurt your body.

Next (or first) find food that you like that is healthy. Stay away from:

1) High Fructose Corn Syrup - It's the sugar found in soda's and all kinds of things. It blocks leptin, the hormone that tells your body you are full

2) Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil - these won't really make you fat, they'll just kill you. Hydrogenated oils are very stable, so food manufacturers use them so that their food will have a longer shelf life. The downside is, they are so stable that your body can't break them down, and they stay in you, clogging your arteries.

3) Enriched flour - What they mean by "enriched" is that they took whole wheat, took out all the healthy parts, and then they had to add some nutrients back in to make it decent food. For example, the worst thing at a McDonalds breakfast is the biscuit. Eating one inflames your arteries (repeatedly eating it leads to hardening of the arteries over years), and your risk of a heart attack triples for the next several hours.

There is nothing wrong with fat, there is nothing wrong with sugar, and there is nothing wrong with carbs. You *have* to finds foods that you like, but are good for you. And if you want a chocolate bar, eat one. If you want ice cream, eat ice cream, but only half of what you normally would. Remember, you can eat anything that you want in moderation, and you can eat all the healthy foods you want. That is the key to a healthy diet.

But, before doing anything serious, I would consult your doctor. If you have been dieting and exercising and you still don't see results, you may need to see a dietitian. You may have food allergies that are causing you to retain liquid. After a few tests, you may find it very easy to maintain your desired body weight with a healthy lifestyle.
