The good news is you have plenty of time! The bad news is that losing weight isn't always easy. Society likes to push diets and supplements at consumers in an attempt to make money, when in essence these are bad ideas. People usually jump at these ideas because they sound easy! They would much rather take a pill and be cured for example. The best way to lose weight though is to eat healthy (choose good portions from the 4 food groups) and exercise daily if possible.

Many people shudder at the word 'exercise', but to be honest, 20 minutes a day is all it takes. Walking, swimming (great exercise - easy on the joints), running, biking, etc. are all great forms of exercise for losing weight.

Also, for your information, a healthy amount of weight to lose is generally 2 pounds per week when attempting to lose weight. That is somewhat subjective though depending on your weight to begin with.

So in closing, the best way to lose weight is to follow the above guidelines. I know it doesn't sound promising, but it's the truth.

The best way is to find a friend with similar goals and then you guys can get into some type of fitness program. That way you both can help motivate each other.
