Question: I'm a 15-years-old boy, and i'm 171lbs and 5'8".
I want to lose weight and build muscles.

ok man if you will listen to anyone listen to me cuz ive been in your exact situation...eat 5 small meals a day..do squats everyday for the beggining of any fitness regime..walk a lot..after every meal makes sure you are doing at leat 15 minutes of some exersice(at least walk, second week jog a lot, 3rd week, really long walks or run each day add 5 minutes to every workout and every other day get some aerobics in) drink a good amount of water...now do some resistance training(weights and machines etc.) in order to jump start the metabolism

food: even amount of veggies, meat, and carbs
you can have something fattening(a meal) but only ONCE a week

eat a lot of protein...cut fat..n exercise...that;s the besy way!!guarantee~~

you want to do cardio and lift weights. eating a lot of protein and dieting well. Build muscle (every pound of muscle burns 5% more fat from your body).

Go out for your high school track team.

Follow your coach's instructions.

Cut out the extra daily calories. A normal diet is 2000 calories per day but trying cutting down to maybe 1500. If you can't control your hunger with that big jump, try gradually setting a limit of calorie intake per day. You can cut out excess syrup/butter/oils. Eat small portions with protein (not lots of carbs). And exercise atleast 3-5 times a week. Hope I helped.

14 year old here :P so, do what i do, do: crunches, press ups and pull ups ( chin ups you might call them...) remember its VERY important to do these CORRECTLY, 10 correct press ups is better then 100 incorrect ones. if you want to learn how to do them corectly go to a website ,they will show you how. start off doing less and gradually increasing Eg: first day 5 press ups, 3rd day 10 , 6th day 15 ... .. and so on. also, watch what you eat and have a fair amount of everything not too much , not too less ...

work out then...... like pushups and situps running..... there is no easy way to build muscle you have to work hard to get in shape

Well, the best way to lose fat and gain muscle is just stay on the couch and continue eating those Doritos and Twinkies. I mean come on, you know the answer to this. The way to lose weight and gain muscle is to start eating right and exercise. I can guarantee you, there is not some magic pill out there that is going to do it for you. It takes a commitment and it takes some time, so the sooner you get started, the sooner it will be done.
