Here Are 6 Secrets To Losing Weight and Keeping It Off:

Eat Breakfast within an hour of waking - it helps with your metabolism and decrease your appetite throughout the day.

Walking is one of the easiest "Exercises" to work into anyones' lifestyle. Try to walk 3-4 times a week for 30-45mins. Take the stairs instead of the elevator.

Find a buddy (or a free health coach - like me) to Support you in your goal.

Make sure you are eating every 2 and 1/2 - 3 hours (Never go more that 4 hours without eating). Small, Low fat meals eg chicken and salad, Steak and vegetables, a handful of nuts (not peanuts almonds/walnuts etc). Start with dividing whatever you are eating now into 5-6 portions.

Find an Individual plan that works for you. I have a busy lifestyle and not much will-power so I opted for a convenient structured meal replacement program that I didn't have to count, weigh or measure portions.

Measure yourself (bathroom scale or a tight pair of jeans) on a regular basis. When I was losing my extra 30 pounds, I had a "black party dress" that I wanted to get into and so it motivated me to stick with my program. Even now, I put it on once a week to make sure I haven't gained "inches".

You will lose the extra pounds - you've already taken one of the steps!

I have tried every diet in the book and it always comes down to the same formula - eat less and move more! So, it has been my experience that Weight Watchers is one of the better programs for learning how to eat right and start an exercise routine. Now that you have a new baby, you have to be realistic about what you can fit into your routine. But even a stroll around the block is moving. Are you breatfeeding? You need to learn how to eat healthy as both you and your baby are counting on it. WW works to teach you those healthy guidelines. Lots of tools to work with too.

Be patient. Seeking a quick fix diet is not what you need right now. You need to stay strong and healthy - you now have a child depending on you to do that! Good luck!

Try the Weight Watchers program online. GIven you have 3 young kids it would be difficult to go to weekly meetings but with the online program you don't have to go to meetings and have the group support online.

get your self a bottle of water and put a straw in it DRINK or sip ALL day long run around with your kids you'll see the weight coming off before you know it

I have been running for 8 years now and would break running down to two things: training and clothing. So, generally speaking, this is what I would recommend for you:

I would strengthen the core: calves, quads, hams, back and abdominal (the "six pack" muscles along with th obleks), chest and arms. But when strengthening these muscles, I would focus more on the muscle endurance not the muscle bulk. For more advice for this, I would consult with a personal trainer. For the running part, I would stay flexible as it helps/contributes to your balance (so do the muscles in your core) but also helps prevent some injuries lik pulled muscles and shin splints. Also, I would try to make up a schedule where you can run for X amount of days and try to have a long run. I would start off slowly, running about 2-3 miles per run for the first week and increase my mileage per week. Make sure you have the following: a good diet, hydration, sleep, a good sense on how to take care of your body, and sleep.

Also, if you need some extra motivation, I'm selling a nike+ runner's gift pack that has an iPod nano, $100 Nike gift card, and a 30 min. iTunes Workout Gift Card through the sller: "aos-chapelhill" and ends on January 30th 14:27:38 PST.
