Perhaps you had better make that 20-25 lbs in 3 months because anything faster than 2 lbs or 1 kilo a week will be a temporary loss and you will regain it all. Slow and steady is the way to go and you have to be patient. Losing weight is the easy bit and keeping it off is the hard bit. The worst possible diets that fail dismally are crash diets and impatient people who lose weight very fast regain it all.

Swimming is very good for slimming and also for toning. The more laps every day the better.

Weight lifting is mainly for bodybuilders and other work outs in the gym are good for muscle growth.

As regards your diet all you need to do is to eat more fruit and vegetables with smaller servings of meat, poultry, potatoes and chips. Dinner calories are more fattening than breakfast calories so a smaller dinner is better than a smaller breakfast.

My son lost 45 in two months, he went on Atkins, ate like normal and lost a lot of fat (not muscle) he looks great

yup..10 lbs a month...exercise daily and eliminate carbo and sugar

possible....yes
healthy...not so much
...lifting makes you gain weight because you gaining muscle...try running with multilayered clothing on...make sure you hydrate though

I am 6ft 1in. and I went from 250 to 170 in about three months.
I worked out and ate less.
I just stopped making food a "real" part of my life.
I then started to think of it as an inconvience.
When I only started to eat when I was "hungry"
I did, and I would make sure that before I did anything fun in the day I would work out.
The days I didn't work out I would feel sluggish.
Plus when I started I got a sharpie and put "this food is poison and will kill you" on a big box of popeye's chicken in my fridge. That made me realize that food is just something to tide you over in life. It is not something to think about. It is like a drug, just take enough to take the edge off.
OK that's a bad analogy.
But I am a musician....

you should try eating high protien low fat meats like, fish, grilled or baked chiken,turkey.....and do lots of cardio.weight lifting will make you gain after awhile.muscle is heavier.Try running,Bike ridding,Jump rope, push ups,sit ups, crunches.Just do your best to stay realy active, and alot of your weight you want to loose should just go away on it's own.
