How do you MOTIVATE YOURSELF TO EXERCISE WHEN IT'S FREEZING OUT? I feel so f!


Question: It's really cold outside right now and I HATE the cold and I haven't got out to jog as much and I've gained a bit of weight and I feel disgusting because I look fatter now and when it was X-Country season I ran like 3 times a week.
I'm 12. Is it normal for em to gain weight. Also my family eats nothing but junk food but they never eat out either and my family has like no money and junk food is cheaper.
I love healthy food but I usually hate what they are eating and I just have a peanut butter sandwich or a bowl of cereal.
Like after pay day everyone just pigs out and than we have nothing to eat (there are 5 people in my family)

OMG, I just feel soooo fat.
I want to cry sometimes cause I feel like a pig.
I just ate 4 peanut butter cookies because there was nothing else to eat.
I am such a pig :(

What do I do?

What do I do?

Exercising in the cold is entirely different than exercising in the warm winter months. There are some ways you can make is easier on yourself. You can warm up inside by stretching, doing push ups, sit ups and jumping jacks. When you start to get hot, that's the perfect time to take a quick jog or to get into your car and drive to the gym. Stretching is very important in the cold months as your muscles are very rigid from the low temperatures. Stretching will greatly reduce injuries.

You could exercise inside.

Two things. Buy a treadmill to exercise inside. And check out Overeater's Anonymous.

I bought myself an inexpensive stationary bike at a thrift store.

You really need to get out of the house. Unplug the computer and find a winter sport. Winters are long and you need something to look forward to. Take up skiing, tobogganing, ice skating. You will meet lots of new people and before you know you will have a real life. Even an indoor sport, go bowling.

So far we have found out you are 12 years old, 125 lbs, and 5' 7" tall. We also know that you are spending too much time thinking about yourself and nobody else. Perhaps you are too self absorbed.
