Is it normal becoming hungry after my workout?!


Question: I space my meals out through out the day and I eat anywhere from 5-6 small meals a day but I notice after my workout I get hungry and which immediately afterward I have a protein shake and that usually does the trick I have that after working out to repair my muscles. does anyone else ever get hungry after working out? I have a pre-workout snack around 9pm because I go to the gym around 11pm after I get off work. so I'm guessing that sounds about right? not sure

Yes, because your body just used a lot of fuel from the vigorous exercises. Your doing the right thing by drinking a protein shake after wards, otherwise you will not as much muscle gain because your body loses protein. Also make sure you drink a lot of water, since you lost a lot during your workout.

Try drinking some water, you might be more thirsty than hungry.

Yeah it's normal. I get hungry after exercising too. Because of all the energy burned we get hungry. So nothing to be worried about :]
