Workout everyday or every other day?!


Question: (I am 16yrs old 6'1" and 161lbs) I have been working out for a while. I normally workout with free weights. I have a home gym do workouts that target upper body and arms. Every great once and a while i do core workouts. I run for 20 minutes in gym everyday. Would it be more beneficial to workout every day or every other day? (I'm not trying to lose weight, but to become more toned and jacked)

Three times a week, no more than 45 minutes a day. Anything more is overtraining. If you have the need to workout everyday, I would do cardio, like running on the days your not lifting. Overtraining will kill your body, and you won't see gains. That was a down fall for me, and it took me weeks to recover. I do it right now, and I have energy to do daily activities.

Your best bet would be to workout hard and fast paced one day and then light to just develop a light sweat the next to give your body time to recover.
