How do I loose 10 pounds?!


Question: I am 5'9 to 5'10, and I weigh 170 Pounds. I took a few tests and I have around 14% body fat, and I really want a six pack by summer so from what I understand, I need under 10% body fat. So I need to loose around 10 pounds, and then start working out. I am using Hydroxycut, but whats an easy way of loosing a quick 10 pounds? I think im going to quit hydroxycut becuase I get dizzy from it. I am watching my diet, Eating chiken, lowfat things, and also running around a mile aday atleast.

you are technically only a pound or so over weight so my advice to you would be to not focus on "weight loss" so much as fitness. To get the "muscle" looking stomach ie abs or 6-pack, you should focus on a high protein diet with complex carbohydrates and lots of dark green veggies, NO SUGAR, little salt , and lots of water. Work out, Run, cardio will burn the fat and weight training will build the muscle. don't starve yourself because you must eat lean protein to build lean protein. But being 15 your body is putting on fat on your abdomen, thighs and chest. you're not finished growing. You cannot fight this its called puberty. Not everyone is built to have a six pack, especially not women. You can strive to be fit and healthy but do not have unrealistic expectations.

By the way, a lot of people, (celebrities, because lets be honest how many people do you really know with six packs?) who do have "6-packs" work very very very hard for them. 2 times a day work outs, no splurging on cake and ice cream. No pasta no cokes no chips its really hard.

Avoid stuff like bagels and soda, and any extra calories that you don't need. Push ups are good for your abs, too, besides just crunches. If you can kayak, do it - it's great for the mid-section. Keep up the running and avoid drugs! Once you stop the stimulants you'll rebound.

first off, stop taking hydroxycut do it the way ur body will be able to stick with for a long time. the second u come off hydroxycut your bad habits will make u gain weight again.

running a mile a day is not enough at all. running does not burn fat like people believe it does. the way to burn fat is to activate and stimulate ur muscles. watching ur diet is nessisary. along with an excersize program. there are a few out there. i highly recomend p90x. withen the first week if you follow everything you will see results.. within 30 days you should have droped 10 pounds atleast and see those abbs cut and defined.. and after the program is over. u should actualy be alot muscular. look it up. its kind of expensive but well worth it. u can use the dvds throughout your life, it dosent require a gym, or even many gym equipment. just a pullup bar (you can get it off the website) and a set of dumbells. with that... and some determination( it takes alot to acutaly stick too the workouts) you will be ripped. my own personal experiance.

cut sugar intake, cut starches, get a bicycle for the spring, start doing situps in morning and evening. an easy way to get into the situps is to do 1 a session on the 1st day, 2 a session on the 2nd day, 3 a session on the 3rd etc etc until the 20th (or 25th) day. then do 20 (or 25) a session for a week, then add 5 a session the next week, 5 more the following week until finally, gradually, in about 2 months, you're doing fifty pushups a session - 100 a day!.
