What is the healthiest snack to eat before bed?!

Question: I've heard that you shouldn't eat past 7pm...is this true? And I'm looking to have a snack before bed that is low cal, healthy, and will keep me somewhat full so I don't start snacking again. Lately, I've been eating those hostess 100 cal cupcakes or snacking on cereal and I'm trying not to eat chocolate... please help!

Low fat cottage cheese with a few almonds.

Low fat cottage cheese made with skim milk is a very filling, slow digesting source of protein. It actually takes five to seven hours for the body to fully digest the casein protein in cottage cheese. When you add a few almonds, you slow the digestion even further and gain some healthy fats, Vitamin E and antioxidents.

So why is this important before you sleep? Well, one of the ways you lose body fat is to keep your metabolism revved up. You do this by eating small, frequent meals every four hours or so. However, when you sleep, you may be going six to eight hours without food. Cottage cheese keeps your body supplied with amino acids during sleep, which discourages you from losing lean muscle and is low in fast-digesting carbs -- something you want to avoid at night.

It's also a great source of calcium and Vitamin D, which recent research suggests may help people lose fat.

I heard some sort of popcorn is good, I'm not sure the exact brand though. I think it might be popsecret. It has only a few calories and it keeps you full.

Fruit or vegetables are the only thing i would recommend after 5:30 because of the digestive system. Sorry i don't know the details....

berries are good, but they aren't very filling

Light & Fit yogurt! It's really good and only 60 cals.
I try to stay away from carbs right before bed because I don't like feeling so full when I'm trying to fall asleep. So... I either have yogurt or just some tea.

A small bowl of granola with low-fat milk. We like Cascadian Farms brand. It will fill you up so you can relax and sleep better. Just don't overdo it, bc you might get bloated.

anything.. who really gives a shite

1. A salad....50 cal
2. Apple....75 cal
3. Orange...75 cal
4. Bran flakes withskimmed milk...130 cal
N.B. I snack on cucumber it nearly has no calories as 1 kg (2.2 pounds) has 17 cal

you should not eat after 7, your stomach needs to digest all the food before you go to bed have something small, like some fruit, even thought its not filling, its still good for you

fruit or a granola bar.

Glass of milk, or serving of lowfat/nonfat yogurt with a little granola.

nothing wrong with a small piece of dark chocolate- but the caffeine may keep you awake.
Just a cup of hot peppermint tea will soothe you and cut back on cravings
