What is wrong with my body?!

Question: I am 26, and still have the body of a 14 year old male, through the years i have never been really in any sports except, crosscountry, and that was only in my junior year of highschool. i never did much working out, beacuse i was one of those people who never gained any weight, no matter what i ate. that was fine when i was a kid, but now i am trying to get some body shape. i am 5`8 , 132pounds, and still am able to wear my size 31 in waist pants that i wore back in 10th grade. now i have been doing 10 push-up a day etc. but i have noticed lately that i since i have been doing a little excerice this pass 3 weeks, that i am always so tired, and worn out. i drink lots of water, but i always feel so hot or warm, and i feel dehydrated all the time. what my question is, what would cause me to go through this? and is this normal? or should i go and see a doctor about this? i am at the point in my life were i would like to have some type of muscle,& i don`t have to look like Tyson Beckford.

Many kids now are diagnosed with low muscle tone (eg: my son), often as part of another disorder. I think many kids had it in the past (eg: my son's father) and were not diagnosed.

In my experience with my son, it means he is not muscular and tires easily in sports, as he has to work harder to do the same as other people do. In my experience with his father, he too was frustrated at being unable to build muscle. He is skinny and not particularly strong. Low muscle tone can also give the impression of lack of co-ordination as the person is "floppy" in their movements, and extra flexible - they can hyperextend their joints.

There is not much you can do about it if it is clinical low muscle tone (as opposed to low tone due to lack of exercise), except regular exercise to maintain the strength you have.

You should also have a glucose tolerance test, as tiredness and thirst (dehydration) can indicate diabetes.

It just means you stopped going through puberty when you were 14

See a doctor.

Fat Guys work their butt off to look young again. Just be happy for what you got. http://detroit.zonecity.com/

I think you should Pray and Exercise a little bit more. . .
A BIT MORE eXercise can help you raise your body,
i THINK. ..

Chillax! Go see a doctor. I'm sorry but I wouldn't know how to figure this out... with all the writing and all!

You know what....you should love ur body no matter waht u think is wrong with it just be glad your healthy
:]

I'd shave that soul patch. That'll help some.

I doubt there's anything wrong with you, but you might want to talk to your doctor. Good luck!

If u r worried about it i would go and see the doctor but u should b ok.If you r that worried go and see the doc

I'm concerned about ur question a body that u had 12 years ago that's creepy.

At 26 you should see a doctor anyway... just for a general checkup.

I think you have an iron deficiency and you need to buy a cast iron pan, and start cooking food with it.

If God mad you slim - you are slim. Worry about the health issues after a doctor sees you. Accept the fact that you are slim if that is what his finding is. Eat at least three meals a week that come from your cast iron pan.

10 pushups per day is nothing really. If you want to gain shape you're going to have to push yourself. Talking to a doctor couldn't hurt, there could be something medically stopping you.

I'd go see a dr. I dont think there's anything wrong with you. You might still be at the tired age. I'm always tired but I'm half your age. Some people just have a fast metabolism so you never gained weight which is lucky but you still shoulda exorcised.

sounds like a testosterone deficiancy. see a doctor

Well first things first. Go to a gym and see a trainer. See what his opinion is. 10 push ups wont do much... try 100.. Free Weights, Crunches.. etc. But go to a few gyms.. see which trainer you feel comfortable with.. Join that gym.. and start working out. Good Luck.

well if you havent of worked out in the past then this souden change is giving you body a different feel over time you will grow less tired but i have friends who are 30 and they can still fit in pants when they were seniors so dot worry but if you still want to you can go see a doctor-it wouldnt hurt

well, you know this could be something going on with your metabolism. You really should go see the doctor, and make sure that you are reacting normal to whatever you are doing or eating. Your doctor can refer you to a nutritionist that in turn can recommend certain dietary things you can do as well as how much or how little exercise you should do. After you get your dietary needs figured out, you can always see a personal trainer at a gym, like at Bally's or Family Fitness Centers.

Ha, oddly that happened to me but it lasted for a short period of time. All I suggest is that you keep going but if it does get worst see a doctor and explain all of it to him.

Mainly to myself it was a huge growth spurt although I was 23 or so. I kept an eye on it and I would suggest another thing:
Lots of sleep.
Don't worry though. Your fine.

You may need to see a doctor and find out why you are always hot/warm and dehydrated, as well as why you feel so tired and 'worn out' even though you have been working out fairly regularly. You may have hyperthyroidsim, and if you do, that is why your body is not 'developing' properly and why you can eat but never gain weight ... but it could be some other thing that can be 'fixed' ... you may have to be on medication, perhaps for life, but if you are 'ill' in some way and don't know it, and I think you are, then you really do need to see a doctor and have a full 'blood screening' to find out what is 'going on' with your body.

That is strange, and sadly you may have sadly been stunted in your growth. No male is continuing in puberty past the age of 26 (if that's what your hoping for).

And although some genes make it more difficult, a shorter man has no more challenges getting fit than a tall one. No offense but 10 push ups a day won't really do much. Instead of dedicating 30 seconds to 10 push ups, dedicate an hour and a half every couple days to a local gym, and you will see results.

A good diet is also manditory in becoming "ripped". Eating one order of small fries at mcdonalds will take you over two hours to burn off on the tredmil at the gym. Also start your day off right with a protein filled breakfast.

-hope this helps.

Sadly i think it's normal for some people. I'm in the same boat I'm 21 and my 16 year old sister looks at least 3-4 years older then me. However it could also be something medical. i would go check it out just in case.
don't be surprised though if the Dr just says it's your metabolism

Go see a doctor if you're all that worried.
It almost sounds like an overactive thyroid....so be prepared for a blood test to check that out.

eat more - exercise more than 10 push-ups bro. You are tired cuz our tank has no gas. Eat more food. Carbs - Protien - Fats. Read and learn your body type. I would do shoulder- chest- arm -back - leg - exercises. start slow and relax. You are young and can see improvement within weeks or a month.
you have a fast metabolism (which is a great thing) but you will have to work harder than the average guy.
Good luck

Being tired, being somewhat underweight, and being unable to get comfortable temperature-wise sounds like you might have some sort of metabolic/thyroid problem. The little exercise you have been doing should be energizing you--not making you tired. You probably should go get your blood tested. It's not typical for people who are your age to stay as skinny as you have with as little exercise as you have been doing. I would talk to a doctor and find out if your hormone levels are normal.

If you do decide to see a doctor, you should go to an endocrinologist (hormone/blood doctor). Sounds like you may be lacking in testosterone (doesn't make you less of a man, it just stops you from getting big). You shouldn't be so pooped after working out. Maybe you're not eating enough protein?

I don't know what your diet is like, but when my brother was trying to get big (at 25) he started eating a half lb of bacon plus three eggs for breakfast, a giant chicken ceasar salad for lunch plus a protein shake thingy, and a medium sized dinner. Then he'd go work out for an hour every day. Took him a while, but he eventually developed some shoulders.

Count your blessings because when you age your body does slow down a bit, usually causing people to gain weight later in life. If you can fit in 31 in waist your doing something right. Would prefer to have a larger waist on a small frame. Being 5'8 is not uncommon either. Your not a big guy, so what it is not a crime.Exericise and get some sleep, that's what you need and stop listening to fools. You are okay.

if u re short and never could gain any weight and your body looks like 14 y.o. it probably means u do not have enough hormone from hypophise ( i am sorry i am not sure how to spell it correctly - it is a part of brains) which is responsible for growth. also if after each exercise u feel so tired there is smth may be wrong with your thyroid gland which also produces hormones. but if u don't have enough one hormone all producing hormones glands are usually screwed up. i would suggest u go to doctor and have that blood test which shows how many hormones u have in your blood and whether they re enough or not enough. anyway, if everything is normal i would suggest u go to real gym, find a real trainer and he will tell u how to exercise and what to take within 40 min after work out and before u go to sleep. doing 50 push up - come on, give me a break, u didn't think those were going to help u, did u? if u did it means not only your body looks like 14 y.o, your brains work with the same capacity too
