Is this diet healthy or really bad for me?!

Question: I want to lose about 20 lbs so I can play in an adult football league, and heard about a diet that contains only lemonade, maple syrup, and water. Thats all you eat for about 1-2 week and thats all. I just couldnt believe that could be healthy for me but was just curious. i didnt think there was many vitaman's/protein etc. Any thoughts?

It's not really a diet. It's a cleanse...so it's not actually designed for you to lose weight on it. You will lose weight, but you'll gain it back when you start eating again.

You can get enough calories from it, but you will probably feel weaker since it doesn't have enough nutrients.

Oh, it also has cayenne pepper in it as well.

I don't think it is such a good idea. All those foods sound junky 2 me.

that diet is going to make you sick and even more unhealthy than you are now.
eat greens and baked chicken and lay off the carbs for a little while.
you will lose weight more rapidly if you increase your daily workout routine, but this is optional and it's better to take lifestyle changes (NOT DIETS!) slowly as it's easier to keep the weight off afterwards.

Those diets are'nt a great way to lose wieght as soon as you lose it you will just gain it back in a few days because your body is not used to that kind of food that you ate to loose that wieght. You need to slowly cut back on your calories each week so that you can keep that wieght off, plus going to the gym or an afternoon run wouldnt hurt either. Good luck!

well with just drinking that will be harmful to you because of the acids from the lemonade and the sugars from the syrup, it will cause you to have acid relux, heart burn, not to mention the acids eating the enamel from your teeth, so no that is not healthy, i suggest , since you want to play football, is doing some plain ol excercise, and watch the food intake just cut it down, and also wind sprints could help you lose that 20, not to mention get you ready for football
