Anorexia question?!
Question: Im or was (not sure) anorexic. i am 13 and on recovery and i find its freaking hard. sometimes i feel and act normal and sometimes afraid to eat a thing... i was wondering how long does it take to recover?

It is a long battle, but you must not lose faith that you will recover. I know someone who struggled for years and is now in her early 20s and has been symptom free for over a year. make sure you are honest with those around you when you feel like things aren't right so your parents can get you the help you need.
From what I've see it will be a life long battle. Talk to your doc or councilor if you have questions and hang in there! One day at a time...
I was bulmic and aneroxic for 23 year, have been in recovery for 13. I ahve relapsed 4 times.
you never get over it, it is like alcholism- it is one day at a time. you have to change your life style and reconize wwhat triggers your behavior and stay in therapy and eat healthy and excercise. when you feel an episode coming on, call or talk to someone. it does get better but it takes time. I am proud of you.

that's what i've been wondering....it's hard...i'm scared for my life right now.
I've heard from most people, it's a life-long struggle though....
