Gaining muscle mass?!

Question: Ok, for the last two years I have been working out, for the first year it was sloppy and not real serious. But the second year it was more serious. I've been working out four days a week and eating lots of protein, but still little gain. Any help?

Protein is essential and you should eat a minimum of 1.5 grams of protein for every pound of your body weight. This must be split up throughout the day.

Supplements, vitamins and aminos are important as well.

Glutamine is important for muscle recovery. BCAA's are critical for growth. Arginine is essential for NO boost and pumps.

Now, look at your training. Many think the more the better. Your muscles need rest. For muscle mass, hit each body part hard 12-16 sets to failure, 1 time per week. Anymore than this is overtraining. Many do not realize that in other excercises, you have secondary muscles being used.

For example:
Chest (bench press). Secondary muscle: tri cep
Chest (incline press) Secondary: tri and shoulders
Back (lat pulldown) Secondary: biceps

If you are training Chest 2-3 times a week and arms 2-3 times a week, when do they rest and recover? Never.

Make sure you hit legs as well. Many go for the beach body look. Cut chest and arms. When doing legs, it has been proven that natural testosterone stimulation is greater.

I can go on and on. I would advise you to take some time, read about what weight training and body building is all about. It is not just pump weights and eat some protein.

Take in enough calories (good carbs, protein, fiber, some good fats), rest (sleep 7-8 hrs a night to maximize your natural GH) as well as let muscles recover. Train hard and smart, reach failure when training. Do not overtrain. Learn about the key amino acids, viatmins, omegas and supplements available. When and how to use them.

It's a lifestyle and it's a science that must be understood before you will maximize your full potential and reach your goals.

email me dude
there is more to it than a lot of protein and lifting
