What kind of exercise is good when your first starting out?!

Question: It is important to first enhance your cardiovascular and pulmonary conditioning, and the best way to do this is to walk. Try about 20 minutes of leisurely walking at first and then increase your time and speed as you feel better.

Strengthening your heart muscle is necessary to getting the most out of an exercise/conditioning routine so you can physically tolerate the activity and effectively circulate blood/oxygen to your tissues. When you start to noticeably improve your distance and speed and are tolerating it well, you are ready to start focused conditioning of specific muscle groups.

Walking, gentle yoga, and a few basic strength moves like squats, chest presses, and situps.

i would start out with light weights and then every week or 2 add 5 pounds.. and do cardio, 30 minutes at least 4 days a week

Hi, How about swimming gentle on your joints .x

just start out slow. If you've never done any jogging, then start out jogging a bit, then walk a bit. It's important to not go crazy when starting. No point in running a 10K race.

If you're lifting weights start out with very light weights. It's more important to learn the correct form than it is lifting a lot weight.

A little muscle soreness is normal.
