Too many calories?!

Question: I guesstimated how many calories I ate today, It was around 1900
that is with some fruit, vegetables, ice cream, crackers, beans, cereal, sandwich, chips (some of this is reduced fat)

I am not looking to lose weight, I am happy with how I am. I do workout about 2-4 times a week, some cardio and weights as well as yoga. I think that I have pretty good metabolism.
Does that amount of calories sound okay?

This will help you determine the amount of calories that you need in a day. 1900 does sound good to me for most people, but for someone like myself (5', 105 lbs) it would actually be too much, so it would be best to calculate it for yourself.

Do watch out with guestimating though. Studies have been done that show that even nutritionists (experts) who are asked to estimate the amount of calories they consumed in a day often get it wrong.

yea that sounds just like just the right amount of calories

the average intake calories for girls is 2200 and for boys 2000. you sound just right ; ]

It sounds to me like its alright, although if you burn a lot of calories like I do then eating more especially after working out is good. Be sure to get more protein though, beans wont cut it, and especially after the workouts maybe take in a protein shake after weight training. You should also wait 1-2 days between workouts to give your body time to recover and make sure your not stressing yourself. A multi-vitamin supplement cant hurt either but what you got going for yourself is great especially the yoga! Well good luck hoped that helped some!

that sounds like an ok amount of calories
like the person before said, you should watch it on the guesstimating, i was watching 60 minutes and there was a huge number of amercans who severely underestimate the number of calories that they eat, one peson thought they were eating a 300 calorie subway sandiwich, and in reality it was 756 calories!!!

here is a good place to go to find nutrition facts or alot of different foods: www.nutritiondata.com
