I think the weight of the squat machine poped some blood vessels in my shoulders!

Question: I got these red streaks across my shoulders after weight training today. Its the first time i've ever used the squat machine and it hurt my shoulders pretty bad. is it supposed to hurt my shoulders that bad? is it supposed to pop my blood vessels? I have a pic, its kind of hard to see; they look like stretch marks in it, but in real life, they are real dark, too dark to be stretch marks.

I get those too, they go away after a few days, don't worry, your body has millions more blood vessels.

anything can happen when a person overdoes it in the gym

I had to have rotator cuff surgery on my right shoulder.

Take it easy. You really don't have to lift all that weight.
I didn't either but did.

I know, I know

this happens to me just about every time i do squats. it's nothing to worry about. let me guess, you used the bar without padding? if you want less marks, use padding. if you don't know what i'm talking about, ask someone at the gym. use proper form, don't overdo it, and listen to your body at all times!

First off, if your gym has a squat/power rack, quit bein' a girly-man and use free weights and not the d*** machine. Free weights are superior to machines in every way imaginable.

Second, if you have a heavy barbell across your shoulders (which you should) without extra padding (which you shouldn't, as it makes it easier to lose the bar) for 5 sets of 5 reps of *** to grass squats (which is how you should be squattin'), it's gonna make an imprint on your shoulders. Man up, wear it with pride, and keep squattin'.
