What is the right amount of calories to eat in one meal?!


Question: I work out 3 days a week on average and I walk up and down a bunch of stairs every single day. I'm not over-weight but I if I can make myself even healthier...why not? Thanks!

it depends on what youre trying to do. if its lose weight, 1200 calories a day is the least you should eat to sustain a healthy lifestyle. (400 a meal...which is hard when you go out to eat) i personally did it and lost about 10 lbs in 2 weeks. i put it on after school started and swim team ended. but if its just to eat everyday about 600-700 a meal is fine. but (healthy!) snacks in between is best

I would say 400 calories a meal, plus three 200 calories snacks.

So that is about 1800 calories. If you are looking to lose weight..do two 100 calorie snacks-1400 calories.

It depends on the age and activity of the person. If you're an athlete you might need a higher calorie intake than most people.
Average is about 2,000 calories per day.
