It depends on the size of their hips. Dresses are often more generous on the hips than pants, so you can be a size 8 in pants but a size 6 in skirts or dresses.

I wear a size 6 in skirts/dresses and size 8 in pants and my hips are 38 inches measured around the butt. My waist is 26/27 inches and my bust is 35 inches.

well i wear a 4 or 6 dress depending on the cut but i wear size 2 or 4 jeans.. or in other brands usually a 26 jeans
