I don't think so. Vegetables are mostly fiber, and you can't go wrong with that. :D

as long as ur salad is not loaded with sugary things, i have heard that after 6pm it is best not to eat any sugary things that includes fruit sugar. because if those aren't burnt right away then they will become stored as unused energy eventually becomes fat. so yes, u can eat ur healthy salad, just make sure u don't put dried cranberries walnuts..even low fat dressings are high in sugar. make ur salad all veg !

No it's not bad. Fruits and vegetables are actually pretty low in calories. Also, your body needs to repair itself after working out so a salad is a great choice. So sleeping after eating a salad wouldn't effect you as much as having a Thanksgiving dinner at 9pm. :]

What do you mean by "need time to burn the calories during the day which is why you should eat earlier"? Burn what calories? We all burn calories all day, every second. That's what's keeping our hearts pumping, our kidneys filtering, our livers detoxifying, and our glands secreting. It's what keeps us alive and our temperatures where they should be.

What you say is mythology. It doesn't matter a whit when you eat as long as eating at that time does not make you uncomfortable or interfere with an activity.

Technically it's bad for you to eat anything after 9pm. Fruits or Veggies, usually after 9pm (when people start "rest" mode.) Less activity is being done, therefore less calories are being burned. And the more fat your body will store during the night. (Those un-burned calories have to go somewhere! Right to your problem areas!)

I'd suggest trying to eat at an earlier time, if your job limits you from eating until after that time, then you need to think "is my job worth a healthy lifestyle?"

Good luck.

well i do my work out from 3.30 pm till 5.30 pm and thou i have plenty of time to eat i do not eat. i have been doing it for many years, i am still alive and in very good condition. i eat nuts for proteins and a cup of hot tea without sugar for not feeling hungry. u don't need to eat after a work out the whole meal. u may eat banana or apple and some warm drink. warm water will be fine too. i wouldn't eat after 9 p m healthy salad - too much food anyway and instead of resting your body will work all night hard on digesting this heavy food. also u may have protein shake right after work out if u need smth inside of u that much
