How am i supposed to get any exercise?!


Question: I don't like walking or running for exercise. I can't afford a gym membership or a dance class. And I don't like exercise DVD's, i have yet to find one that i can understand or that doesnt bore me. In addition to all this, i have no time to exercise! My schedule is full. Does anyone have any tips?

trying to lose weight isn't exactly fun! you need to be motivated and find a way to exercise, even if you don't like it. try listening to music while you do crunches or weights. distract yourself while you exercise. some people watch tv while they exercise. you only need to exercise a few minutes a day, so it doesn't take that much time. try waking up earlier and exercising earlier in the morning. i know, it's hard to wake up early and then be motivated to exercise, but it should give you more energy for the day because you're already awake and moving even before the time you would usually wake up at. set up goals or rewards for yourself to keep you motivated or have a "competition" with one of your friends to see who can do the most crunches, etc. You can even do it on the phone (if you trust them to be honest with their counting) or use that camera for the computer (which i forget the name of). good luck!

not to come off as mean but you're going to have to suck it up and start walking everyone has time for exercise a good program will take about 15-30 mins out of your day

change your attitude.

Work it in to the schedule. If you have steps at work, take those instead of the elevator. Park at the back..wayyyy back....yes, all the way over there... of the parking lot when you go to the store. There are other things, like just do squats whenevr you r walking around the house, and stand up while you are on your cell phone at home and walk around.

You won't getcardio this way, and I don't know if you need to lose weight, but it won't happen without the cardio.

I'd like to be as nice as possible, but a lot of people hate exercising, but they do it anyway for their health - they suck it up and get up early to go around the block or work out to an exercise video. If you really want, and think about if you do or not, then you will eventually start to do it.

Also, don't know about where you live, but the YMCA offers assistance if you cannot afford the memebrship, so check it out - you maybe suprised that you can afford the gym...I only pay $23 per month.

If you have time to get on YA, you have time to exercise.
