Health benefits of frozen fruit vs fresh fruit?!

Question: Hi everybody.
I am very much into working out and eating properly. However, I do have a tendency to get some really bad night cravings for ice-cream! Basically what I do is take frozen blueberries, a banana, and some fat free milk and blend them together to make a smoothie. I have found that this "tricks" my sweet tooth into thinking I'm eating ice-cream even though I am not. But now I'm starting to wonder...is there a significant difference between fresh fruits versus frozen fruits or are they the same no matter what we do with them?

Thank you for your time!

i do this too usally frozen fruits / veggies keep most of the nutrition as fresh because the are flash frozen this is a quick process that retains the nutrients, fresh fruit looses nutrients the longer it sits around, canned looses them to the syrup. the frozen fruit / milk trick was something i learned from shape mag. the offer a lot of healthy suggestions.

I've heard that it's possible for frozen fruits and vegetables to be better than fresh ones because they are frozen soon after picking, whereas fresh ones are exposed to the elements.

Don't worry about the frozen vs fresh issue. Worry about getting the 5 portions of fruit and veg. http://www.clearhealthandfitness.com/ind...

Frozen are just as good as fresh because they are frozen at their frozen at their peak of freshness
