Is dancing considered cardio?!


Question: If I dance non-stop for about 30min, is that a good work-out?
Will I see results? Or is better if I actually do some sort of exersice routine? If I dance 4x a week and eat a healthy balanced diet - 1200 calories, will I loose weight, raise my metabolisim and be healthier OVERALL?

yup thats definately cardio. yes you will lose weight, but you should eat more because your going to bur off part of the 1200 and when you get less than 1200 calories your body goes into starvation mode and you start storing fat instead of burning it

most likely you will, dancing is really good cardio

yes - one of the classes I take at the gym if=s called Dance Fever...However....it is very repetative, non stop and uses lots of exxagerated moves.

Doing the electric slide doesn't really count !@

Yes! Anything that gets you up and moving counts and will help you lose weight. Good luck!

Oh yeah. As long as you're moving around it is. There were dance classes at my gym and there are SO many dance workout videos for weight loss. I have a few, myself because I despise walking (so boring!). Keep up the dancing!

Yes dancing is cardio, girls that go to clubs all the time and dance all night, are almost always thin and healthy looking, but 1200 calories is not enough to be healthy, I would go for like 1500, unless your really small, and don't need a whole lot of calories, maybe 1400 will be good. 1200 just seams like nothing I could be wrong though.
