Is the "only fruit til noon" concept a good one?!

Question: I heard that Tony Robbins only eats fruits and vegetables, giving his stomach a chance to warm up to the day. But then there's the old adage, "breakfast is the most important meal of the day" so what are nutritionalists saying in 2008?

I have actually been on a diet that called for nothing but fruit till noon and everything that I read as far as how your body would react was right on target. It makes you more regular. like clockwork actually, and constipation is never again a problem. It greatly aids in digetion since this way of eating also calls for food combining which I also found to be a good way to eat. The only drawback for me - and it was major - is that eating so much fruit daily for so long gave me diabetes. Unfortunately, when I was doing this, there was no mention of diabetes. They do warn you about this major finding now - too late for me though.

I have to admit that my main fruit was watermelon which is loaded with sugar. Perhaps if I had known better, I would have chosen more of a variety of fruit and those which did not contain so much sugar. I think if you're NOT pre-diabetic, this is a good way of eating. It makes you look and feel good, plus you can drop a lot of pounds.

They still say the largest meal of the day, and the bulk of your protien should be ingested at breakfast.

You should have balanced meals consisting of Protein, Carbs, and Fat (yes, fat!).

If you only eat carbs, you won't feel full.
