Regular Milk/Yogurt vs. Soy Milk/Yogurt? Benefits, advantages, etc?!

Question: I recently switched from regular milk and yogurts to soy milk and yogurts. Luckilly I love the soy taste and had no problem doing so.

However, are there any benefits to soy milk/yogurt products over regular??

Do they both have the same amounts of calcium, nutrients, and as for the yogirts the live active cultures?

Any health benefits?

Soy is a good all-around food, which is why it's used world-wide in so many different ways. It is particularly high in protein.

I don't have the time to research the relative values of each, but I do know that they are both good nutritionally. The major advantage/disadvantage to either is that each has a portion of the population allergic to it.

I use soy milk a lot as well. My favorite thing about it is that its shelf life is much longer than milk.

Soy is a processed food. It has no benefits other then it's a good alternative to people who are lactose intollerant. If you can tollerate lactose, I suggest you switch back to milk.

regular dairy products can contain small amounts of blood and pus in them. definitely not a part of this complete breakfast, dude.

People like soy because it comes from a plant instead of an animal. But I would be careful with soy. Most soy is genetically modified and new studies have shown that it causes some mental and health problems if eaten in excess. Organic soy, however, is different. Read your labels.
