Is drinking a lot of water really helpful to lose weight?!

Question: Or does it just fill you up so you don't eat?

Answers: Or does it just fill you up so you don't eat?

YES YES YES

especially cold water... it speeds up your metabolism, and helps to flush out all the toxins and fat in your body, and also makes you full.

*right after you wake up in the AM.. drink 8 oz. of ICE COLD WATER so that your metabolism increases for the day.

65% of your body is made up from water which is why everyone says to drink 2litres a day!!!!
once you start to do this you will feel and see the difference it makes to your skin. it really does make all the difference.

Yes,
But it should be hot.
Like Chinese. It helps you to reduce your fat and wait.

Ice cold water is good for burning calories -- If you limit your food intake the water will not fill you up. Just pee a lot. Ice water burns calories because the body will warm the water to 98.6 degrees and that takes calories...

YES - but the cold water thing - i dont know but i practice yoga and in yog they say you should drink 1 glass of HOT water to clean ur body and relax the stomach. ITs very helpful for me. Try it. About losing weight - water curbs false hunger - when ur actually thirsty but "think" ur hungry. Water controls blood sugar level - good to control binge eating. Also, its filling and if you drink water while eating - u feel full faster. And ofcourse finally water cleans ur body and helps ur skin glow ;)

Yes it does but not SO much. Water speeds your metabolism to where you're body automatically burns an extra 100 calories per day and water also get rid of toxins that could be slowing down your metabolism. Green Tea also does the same thing as water but has about half the caffine as a cup of coffee and too much caffine is bad so three cups of green tea will also burn another100 extra calories. Water also helps you distinguish real hunger from thirst because people often think that they are hungry when they need just a cup of water, so thats another bonus.

No! It might give you a temporary of fullness. That's all!

When going about your normal daily routine, drink when you're thirsty or just want to. Your bodies' thirst feedback circuit will tell you when it needs fluid. All that stuff about "cleansing" and "nicer skin" is just bunk as long as you're not dehydrated.

If doing prolonged cardiovascular in warm or hot weather, like cycling, you should drink whether thirsty or not, as the feedback seems to lag and you might get dehydrated.
