Is running better than using the elliptical machine?!

what matters is your heart rate. the body works harder while running as you strengthen core muscles as well as every other muscle in your body, more than on a machine that you're holding onto. You might be able to keep your heart rate up for longer durations when you're on the machine.
running is a high impact exercise that stimulates calcium production, which you might not care about now, but maybe later.

to be honest running is bad for you, try power walking.
you'll also lose more weight this way nd wont get ugly man legs.

Running definitely slims your thighs, hips and tummy faster. The elepitical is great also but it takes a bit longer to see the results and I mostly saw the difference in my thighs and glutes.
