How often do you weigh yourself?!

Question: I weigh myself twice a day, and just wondering how often other people weigh themselves?

Answers: I weigh myself twice a day, and just wondering how often other people weigh themselves?

twice a day

if i am on a diet then once a day, when i am not on a diet, about every 4 months

Yea me too even though I know there's no point cos it's not going to have changed apart from due to water weight and clothes. X

Never weigh myself. Neither fat nor skinny and not hung up over my weight. :o)

once a week usually on sunday so i know what ive lost since last time because i checked last friday an i lost 2lbs but checked sat and i had lost 3lbs...

Never! The doc weighs me when I go in for my annual and that's it. My confidence does not come from a number but from how healthy I look and feel.

every monday.
i like to keep myself in check.

A new study conducted by the Brown University Medical School found that people who lose more than 10 percent of their body weight are more likely to keep their weight within 5 pounds if they weigh themselves daily.

Making a habit out of weighing oneself can greatly improve a person's chances of keeping the weight off permanently, the research finds.

once a week, no more, no less.

when i go to the doctors

Never. I'm lazy and I disagree with it. That said, I'm also skinny as hell, which makes the scales disenchanting, because it always tells me I need to GAIN weight.

Once a day at the gym and I must say "I'm a whole Hunk of Love" lol Best Answer please.

I used to weigh myself twice a week. I found that the scales would go up and down, one day I could be 2-3 kilos more than the day before. I read a book which said that weight can fluctuate many pounds due to water retention and even atmospheric pressure! It's best to limit it to once or twice a month otherwise you can get discouraged and get a misleading result. I've decided to eat a healthy diet, not get hung up on numbers, keep fit and enjoy life...as long as my doctor says I'm ok, even with a bit of extra weight, then I'm not going to worry any more. I spent years on various diets and the result was more and more weight gain. Now I'm not bothered, it seems to have become stable and is even beginnning to come off gradually!

1ce a week

Weekly seems to be best, hence why all these slimming clubs do once a week weigh ins - it means that you get to see a nice amount as your weight will most likely fluctuate day to day.

once a month, you exaggerate, no mater how many pounds you gain a day, the weight is relatively changing, being informed about that every few hours is irrelevant

As little as possible. Don't want to get depressed.

Never. My food and exercise level don't change, so I'm going to be constant.

I weigh myself each morning before I have my bath.

Never. I go by how my clothes fit and how well I feel. I used to weigh myself obsessively every morning but weight is only a number. It doesn't make you any fitter or less fit.
