Is it normal to be sore after working out on the elliptical machine?!


Question: I have been working out for almost three weeks, but yesterday was my first time getting on the elliptical machine and I am so stiff and sore. I actually feel pretty tired too. Is this normal? I usually do 40 minutes of circuit training and 30-40 minutes of cardio (on the treadmill).

A new type of workout means new muscles are being used, which will result in you feeling sore and more tired than normal. :) Just keep it up and you'll feel great afterwards. The elliptical is my favorite workout machine.

Any time you change your exercise routine you can get sore.

The elip is low impact so you don't feel the workout til later.

Are you stretching? It could be from the repetitive motion. It might be time to change up your routine even just a little.

Yes, if when starting to work new muscles, and you dont get sore the first time, you are doing something wrong.
