Eating salad everyday for lunch is okay.
But she DOES need healthy fats in her the other meals she eats throughout the day.

I don't know of any though.

Vegtables and fish is very good for ya and have the odd red meath...!:-)

low fat cheese or add some meat to the salad for protein.

chicken is good for you, contains a little fat..

Chick peas. It's very rich in B vitamins and has 4% of fat, which isn't much. And you can put it in a salad...

Best way to eat is the pyramid.

POONANI HAHAHA

Nuts - - Almonds, Brazil, etc...........good fillers and good for you at the same time

Eat lots of dark greens, vegetables, fruits, water, and fish, if she wants a little bit of fats and proteins, she have have a little handful of peanuts or toast with peanut butter

she could put some extra virgin olive oil on her salad for a with a pinch of lemon and salt. makes a great salad dressing

You don't need any fat, however, you DO need calories as these are what provides energy.

Salads are a very good option, but you should have some protein on it (salmon, chicken- even tuna or hard-boiled eggs on occassion).

Soups are also very good, if you live in a colder region and are not in "salad mode" in the winter (like me).

Chicken breast

Nuts and seeds are good and have good fats in them. Add a little oil & vinegar dressing to the salad. There are healthy fats - like olive oil, canola oil, the fat in avacados, nuts and seeds. And you are right, she does need a little fat in her diet.

Well here are a couple ideas of food that are healthy, low calorie, low fat, and YUMMY...

Your friend needs some protein. She can get this by eating lean meats, fish, low-fat cheese, beans, nuts, legumes, etc...

There are good fats and bad fats. The key is to eat foods with little or no saturated fat.

Bananas!!!!! and Kashi's 7 grain pilaf. OMG the stuff is sooooo good.

Avocadoes are natures vitamin pill. I also eat lotsa mustard greens, turnip greens and collards cooked southern style. I love my protein so liver, steak, chicken, fishe etc are also high on my list. Superbowl Sunday will be a super nutritious evening for me.

Try to eat fish 3 times a week it is very healthy

Your friend should add some type of protein to her salad. For instance tofu, beans, chick pea or avocados.

firstly your such a caring friend! :) and second there is fat in salad, in the salad dressing.
help her out by telling her you can cut some fried chicken into pieces. and throw it into the salad :) mmmm sooo good lol.
sandwiches are healthy, (chicken, salad, onions, tomatoes, w.e else you want on it, tat you think is healthy)or how about some good rice, and veggies?.how ever..a good dessert, if you put yogurt, all different kind of fruit you wants, and plain oatmeal, thats healthy, and really filling as well.
but hey some things become unhealthy if you eat them too muchhh, like if you ate pizza everyday, thats un healthy..things that are deep fried. like fries.
so goodluck! <3hope i helped!

Fruits, vegetables, nuts, grains etc.
Healthy fats can be obtained from things like nuts, olives and olive oil, sesame seeds, avocados and oily fish like salmon, tuna or sardines.

A salad is really a good thing for lunch. It actually has fat in it. With some dressings you even have to watch that it is not too much!
I'd recommend for a dressing linseed or olive oil vinegar mix or a good house dressing on the side, it is a better choice than the bottled or pre-packed dressings.

Another source of good fat in a salad is a topping of cottage cheese or feta cheese crumbs on it. Also linseed or some sunflower seeds or even nuts and chickpeas usually are a good idea. Or maybe some avocado slices
