If you call yourself a cow, you will think like one, and your body will actually mimic what you are thinking. You MUST change your thinking! Visualize yourself as a slender (not thin) person who has EXACTLY the figure you are aiming for. It doesn't mean you will look like this right away, but you will in time. Plus, when you THINK pretty, you ARE pretty. You don't realize it, but most of the models and women in TV & movies are downright homely when you look closely - especially without their makeup on.

So, first off, no more calling yourself names. YOU are beautiful...first, because God made only one YOU and He never made garbage yet when it comes to people, and second, because you are trying to be a better person, and that shows how beautiful you are inside. What is inside can be on the outside if you let it.

OK, regarding your question: If you really want to lose weight, you have your diet backwards.

Breakfast should be your heaviest meal. This is what they do in countries where they are the thinnest. It's because when you wake up your blood sugar is low, and your body needs energy. You're like a car that's almost out of gas and needs a tankful.

Lunch is the same way. You are busy at school using your brain which uses huge amounts of blood sugar and depletes your energy levels. this also explains why you get hungry towards the end of the day..because your tank is dry.

Come evening, you chow down and eat a big supper and maybe an evening snack. Then you go to bed and all those calories turn into fat...because your body has decided it's starving and has to conserve calories. In addition, because of the lack of calories when you needed them, your body turns your metabolism ever lower...degree by degree.

So...Here's what you need to do; eat a protein rich breakfast with eggs, whole grain breads and cereals (cheerios, oatmeal, raisin bran etc). have a small piece of fruit also, and include 8 oz of milk - it helps you lose weight and builds healthy bones, plus it contains vital minerals and vitamins. Eating a strong breakfast revs your metabolism, cuts your appetite, and even improves your grades. Figure 40% of your calories for breakfast - or, if possible, 30% for breakfast with a midmorning snack of 10% of your calories for the day. (2 homemade high protein cookies go well here - see recipe at the end)

Lunch: a sandwich of tuna or egg salad with low-fat mayo or miracle whip, meat, cheese or peanut butter - you can have all-fruit spread in place of jelly- on 12 grain bread ( I love Aldi's brand of 12 grain bread because it's soft and rich, yet low in calories and very high in fiber. Fiber fills you up and keeps your bowels in good shape. Eat carrots, or sliced apples with lemon juice, Splenda and cinnamon {like eating pie without the crust or the excess calories} or any fresh fruit or vegetable. Drink another 8 oz of milk. 30% of your calories for lunch

After school, peanut butter crackers, string cheese, a small bowl of cereal, 2 more cookies or a protein bar ...all with 8 oz milk. 10% of your calories for snack

Then, for dinner, you have your Slimfast. make the Slimfast with skim milk and it will have extra protein but no significant additional calories. If you are using canned slimfast cut it with water and add some Benefiber - it tastes the same and is extra filling. You can have some high fiber crackers with the slimfast to keep you filled up. 20% of your calories for dinner

don't eat within 3 hours of bedtime, as this keeps it from being added to fat. If you get really hungry, drink some warm skim or lowfat milk with Benefiber mixed in Or chew some FiberChoice tablets. These are healthy and very good, too.

Now, for that recipe for the cookies - they are filling and satisfying, and they help cut your appetite for hours:

make the recipe on the back of the Oatmeal box, only cut the fat - see below-, and replace the sugar with Splenda plus one tablespoon of molasses (optional, for flavor) You can also cut the calories by using 1/2 brown sugar and 1/2 Splenda.

use whole eggs - but increase the amount called for by 1 whole egg - or use egg beaters if the doctor has said to watch your cholesterol (not everyone has to, just people diagnosed with high LDL (low density lipoproteins, the bad cholesterol).

Put in handsfuls of chopped nuts of any kind (very high protein and fiber) If you use peanuts, don't use the processed type without the shell casings...use whole shelled peanuts.

Use applesauce in place of half the shortening or butter.
Add raisins, high in fiber and iron, plus they make the cooky chewy.

If you want, you can put in chocolate protein powder or Slimfast or other diet protein drink powder - about 1/2 cup per batch.

If you suffer from constipation, put in fresh chopped prunes about 3/4 c to a batch. They are yummy sweet , loaded with fiber and nutrients, yet don't add much in calories

Nibble a bit before you bake it to adjust the flavors and bake as usual ( per package)

I usually freeze my leftover cookies so I won't be as tempted to eat too many at once. I wrap them in waxed paper in sets and take out my allotment when I need them.
I

i usually eat a bowl of fruit or veggies

The food you eat early in the day you'll burn off. Big dinners and after dinner snacks turn into fat.

Eat all your breads and cereals earlier in the day, so you have more time to burn them off.

After school you can stuff like fruits, veggies, rice cakes, meat, cheeses, Also those frozen meals that are for dieters aren't bad because they average only about 300-400 calories(Just make sure they don't have too much salt).

Also, dieting is great, but you need to work out as well to really get that weight off of you.

GREAT site & info!!!!!!!! i Love it!

there are lots of healthy snack ideas there!!!!

u gotta tell every1 about this site! it's sooo helpful!

Apples are also very good for you

An apple or low fat yoghurt...
You should be eating moderately all through out the day.
With what you are eating for breakfast and lunch no wonder you are hungry by the end of the day..

Try a piece of fruit, like a banana, apple, or pear. You could also pack some granola. Rice cakes with a little peanut butter are very low cal, but not extremely satisfying. Maybe a combination of rice cake and fruit.

Eat something low in calories nad fat. Like have a small bowl of salad. Or some other fruit/vegetable. Salad is low in calories, with only 15 calories for 2 cups, that is pretty small, and if you get those wish bone salad spritzers, it's a calorie a spritz, and serving is like 5 sprays, so that is like only 20 calories. Or have some crackers with pb. Eat something low in calories though.
