Sore muscles after weight training: good or bad sign?!

Question: I did lots of weight training yesterday (free weights, bench press, machines) and today my muscles are really sore. I know they're supposed to be a little sore but it hurts a bit to move my arms at all. Does this mean I had a good workout or I lifted too much?

Sounds like it was your first time...its a good sign to be sore when its either your first hard workout or your switching up the routine..you'll stop getting sore once your body has accustomed to your workout routine..in order to see consistent gains you should switch up the routine every 1-3 months depending on whatever works for you if your gunna start weight training more often

If you have not worked out in a while or the 1st time you will be sore. Sounds like you overexerted yourself.
