Girl in need of some serious diet help, please help me out!?!

Question: I'm trying to lose weight pretty quickly (about 3 lbs per week would be ideal!) and I need help. I start off strong and then by the afternoon I lose all will power and just eat. For example, this is what happened today:

6:00 AM - 1/2 cup cottage cheese and a nectarine
9:30- Banana
12:00- Turkey Wrap with a whole wheat, reduced-carb tortilla and light miracle whip
and then about 3:00- A CANNOLI!! It was sooo good...my mom bought them as a surprise and I ate it...it was mini but still...I feel so guilty and this happens almost every day! I splurge on calories when I get home from school

And I was going to go to the movies later...but I can't avoid the concession stand...I always end up getting something and blowing off my diet...i don't want to- it just happens!

Please don't be afraid to be harsh! Kick my butt into shape and please give me some guidance and motivation!!

Thanks so much!!

first of all 1-2lbs a week is ideal...anything more is unhealthy. Did u put veggies on the wrap? They help fill you up. A mini cannoli isn't the worst thing in the world....a whole box of donuts...now that would be bad. it's important to allow yourself a treat every now and then or you'll go crazy and end up splurging. Can u try going to the movies with only money for the ticket so you can't buy food? I'm in the same boat as you...I have NO willpower...good luck, darling! and it sounds like you have a sweet mom, but try telling her your goals and then maybe instead of bringing home surprise cannolis she can bring home a magazine or new make up or something...i want to add that you don't need to lose weight! i just read your addition.....try strength training to build muscle and tone up instead of just dieting....and for heavens sake don't tell yourself you're fat because then you'll end up with a self-esteem issue!!!!

bring something to the theater from home..just avoid the concession stand!! i dunno!! just tell ureself ur fat(even if u aint) tell ureself that not snacking will pay of!! exercise and drink plenty water! 5-6 small healthy meals a day...only some healthy snacks..apples, oranges, any fruit..green vegies..granola, non fat yogurt

Everything about losing weight boils down to will power. You need the will power to stay away from food. When you crave food, just think of bad outcomes they bring: gaining weight, not looking good, high cholesterol, high fat, high sugar, high blood pressure, diabetes, heart diseases, etc.
You also need the will power to exercise a lot! Run at least half an hour to an hour everyday. Do 100 push ups and 100 sit ups per day. Drink lots of water. Do lots of housework, avoid sitting down, stay ACTIVE. Beyond that, if you have an asian supermarket somewhere near home, find it, and look for China Super Diet Tea. That thing cleanses food out of your system pretty fast.

I lost 40 lbs. last year because i was serious about my diet you are not serious yet young lady.

You don't need to starve yourself throughout the day- eat a good healthy breakfast- a couple of eggs, toast and orange juice and then take your vitamins and minerals. The carbs in the morning will help kickstart your metabolism...

Eat a decent lunch too, but just make sure you eat only complex carbs- a sandwich on wheat bread and some fruit and a potato, but don't load it up with greasy butter or anything like that. If you have to put something on it use olive oil.

Dinner eat 1/3lb of chicken beef or fish (not fried) and have some vegatable and a potato the size of your fist. You won't be so hungry then when you walk past the concession stand.

Tell your mother you are trying to eat clean and to stop bringing home those sugary foods that have no nutritional value. You won't need so much willpower not to eat the junk if you're already feeling full- just make sure you're eating stuff that's good for you and low in fat. If you must eat the junk food then take one off day per week, but not more than that.

Im trying to lose weight too. Usually i do well then binge in the evening but this time ive decided that if i eat something i shouldnt then dont feel guilty or give up just try and do a little bit more exercise then next day. If you give up just because you ate something then a few days later you will want to start diet again so just carry on. That is if your doing exercise? i walk an hour each day. Good luck!

heavier weights light reps

Bring some fruit from home to the Cinema. Thats what i've started to do. And i go jogging and do some weights. I've also given up chocolate and soda. But i'm 196 pounds but a little older nearly twenty. But I don't consider myself to be that fat just a bit over weight. But you should aim to lose one pound a week and work from there your young

The best advice I ever received about eating was this. If you 'cheat' and you will, don't beat yourself up over it. So many times we cheat, feel horrible - then give up. Accept that cheating is going to happen but don't lose focus on the end results.
